What courses are offered on the MoocEdu platform?

Open courses are offered for the entire Andalusian educational community.

For PRODIG schools, specific courses are offered for students (DigCompPostObligatorio, DigCompESO2, DigCompESO1, DigCompPrimaria) and teachers (DigCompEdu). This offer will increase throughout the development of the programme.

Some MOOCs will also allow users outside our educational community to participate (e.g. the European CRISSH2020 project MOOC).

How do I access the platform?

The MoocEdu platform is intended for the Andalusian educational community and anyone interested in the courses offered.

The Andalusian educational community can log in with its IdEA username and password (the same ones used to access the Pasen and/or Séneca application). For more information, please visit the PRODIG website

People external to this community will need to register with their email account by clicking on the Register button on the platform home page.

How is the IdEA username and password generated for students?

The IdEA username and password for students who are members of the Andalusian educational community can only be generated in Séneca with the Head Teacher profile.

What technical requirements are necessary?

All you need is an electronic device connected to the Internet and an updated browser.

How do I enroll in a course?

External users can enroll in any open courses displayed on the platform home page.

The educational community of the PRODIG schools is enrolled, by default, in certain courses that you will be able to see when you log in. In addition, you will be able to auto-enroll in the rest of the open courses that are offered on the platform home page.

What functionalities are available for the PRODIG coordinator?

The PRODIG coordinator will have access to:

- The control panel, where you can enroll and unenroll both teachers and students if necessary (new additions to the school or particular interest).

- To all courses taught at the school.

- To the participants' progress data.

What if I have problems registering, enrolling in a course, logging in or accessing the MOOC?

Some problems with registration or login are caused by problems with your browser.

Try the following:

- Switch to an updated version of your browser

- Check your browser settings to make sure JavaScript and cookies are enabled.

- Clear your browser's cache or access it using a new private window.

How long does a MOOC last?

The start date, end date and estimated effort for each course will be determined in the announcement of the course and on the course description page.

Specific MOOCs for PRODIG schools do not have an end date: they will be open until the end of each school year.

Who assesses the learning evidence?

Each MOOC course has its own form of assessment.

In courses for PRODIG schools, the activities are self-assessed.

In other courses, such as the CRISS project MOOC, the activities are peer-assessed.

Will I receive a certification upon finishing a MOOC?

No.

Upon successful completion of an MOOC, participants may receive a badge or diploma of achievement.

What happens if I forget my password?

The passwords of the IdEA accounts (students, teachers, PAS, families...) of the Consejería de Educación y Deporte can only be changed in Pasen/Séneca.

For external users, click on ‘Forgot password?’ on the login screen, enter the email address you used when registering and you will be sent instructions on how to reset your password.
